Great Taste, the world’s most coveted food and drink awards, has announced its stars of 2020. Out of 12,777 products sent in from over 100 different countries, we are thrilled to have been awarded 9 new awards to add to our extensive collection!

We have been awarded 2, 2-star Great Taste awards for our Fiocco charcuterie and Sticky Fig Relish meaning judges dubbed these products as above and beyond delicious and less than 10% of entries achieve this rating. We have received 7, 1-star awards for our Balsamic Pickled Shallots, Gooseberry & Elderflower Jam, Espresso Blend No.3, Lightly Salted Cultured Butter, Onny Cheese, Oakly Park Cheddar (vegetarian) and Burger Relish. Meaning judges dubbed these foods to deliver fantastic flavour and approximately 25% of entries achieve this rating each year. Judges agreed our Fiocco “Melts in the mouth, is beautiful and neatly prepared” and our Sticky Fig Relish “Great appearance, amazing fig aroma with brilliant texture, the figs are there in all their glory but the use of spicing and sugar is genius as there are so many levels of flavours washing over the palate.”

Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. As well as a badge of honour, the unmistakeable black and gold Great Taste label is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product, which has been discovered through hours and hours of blind tasting by hundreds of judges.

The judges then savour, confer and re-taste to decide which products are worthy of a 1-, 2- or 3-star award.
